The Term 18-50mm lens Understand all

 18-50mm Lens:-

camera 18-50mm lens

The term "18-50mm lens" refers to the range of focal lengths that a particular lens is capable of covering. The focal length of a lens determines the angle of view and the level of magnification, and is typically measured in millimeters (mm).

A lens with a focal length of 18-50mm means that it can zoom from a wide-angle view (18mm) to a moderate telephoto view (50mm). This type of lens is known as a "zoom lens," as it allows you to adjust the focal length and change the angle of view without having to physically move the camera or swap out the lens.

Wide-angle lenses (e.g. 18mm) have a wider angle of view and are good for capturing landscapes and large groups of people. Telephoto lenses (e.g. 50mm) have a narrower angle of view and are good for taking portraits or isolating subjects from the background.

Zoom lenses like the 18-50mm are versatile and allow you to capture a range of different types of shots, from wide-angle to telephoto. They are popular among photographers because they offer flexibility and convenience.

DARK NIGHT PHOTOS FROM A MOBILE YOUR DON'T BELIEVE

Here are a few tips for taking great night photos with a Mobile Phone:

mobile pictures of moon

Use the manual mode: Most mobile phones have a manual mode that allows you to adjust the camera's settings manually. Use this mode to control the exposure time, ISO, and other settings to get the best results.

Use a tripod: A tripod is essential for taking sharp, blur-free photos in low light conditions. It will help to steady your camera and prevent camera shake, which can ruin your shots.

Increase the ISO: The ISO setting controls the sensitivity of the camera's sensor to light. In low light conditions, you'll need to increase the ISO to make the sensor more sensitive to light. However, be aware that increasing the ISO can also increase the amount of noise in your photos.

Use a longer exposure time: A longer exposure time will allow the camera to capture more light, which can help to improve the quality of your night photos. Just be sure to use a tripod to prevent camera shake, as a longer exposure time can make it more difficult to hold the camera steady.

Use the flash sparingly: The flash on a mobile phone camera can be useful for illuminating a subject, but it can also create harsh, unflattering light. If you do use the flash, try to bounce it off a nearby surface to create a softer, more natural-looking light.

Experiment with different compositions: Try using a wide-angle lens to capture sweeping landscapes, or get close to your subject to create more intimate, detailed shots.

By following these tips and practicing your technique, you should be able to take great night photos with your mobile phone. Remember to have fun and experiment with different techniques to find what works best for you

Use the camera's grid lines: Many mobile phones include a grid feature that overlays a grid on the viewfinder to help you compose your shots. Use this feature to help you align your subject and background in a visually appealing way. more now about grid lines read this article click here.

Pay attention to lighting: Good lighting is crucial for taking great photos. Try to avoid shooting in direct sunlight or harsh artificial light, as it can create harsh shadows and washed-out colors. Instead, look for softer, more diffuse light sources, such as open shade or indirect sunlight.

Experiment with different angles: Don't be afraid to get creative with your camera angle. Try shooting from high above your subject, or from ground level, to add interest and depth to your photos.

Use the camera's manual mode: If your mobile phone has a manual mode, consider using it to take full control over the camera's settings. This can be especially helpful if you're trying to capture a specific look or mood in your photos.

The Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 G Master

The oft misinformed opinion that the smaller diameter (as compared to Canon or Nikon) of Sony’s E mount for mirrorless cameras, especially for full frame sensors, would limit the maximum aperture possible with lenses, has now been quite easily debunked with the release of the Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 G Master. With the existing, rather excellent Sony Planar T* FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA already available, one might assume that the new 50mm GM was developed and released by Sony more to prove a point. But using the lens tells a whole different story.

SONY FE 50 MM f/1.2 G Master

 Features:-

sony lens 50mm

Essentially, this is a 50mm prime lens with a ‘normal’ field of view, same as normal human vision. The most striking, immediately apparent feature is its maximum aperture of f/1.2, which is a little more than half a stop larger than f/1.4.

This is a significant difference in some shooting situations. The 50mm GM uses 14 elements in 10 groups, including three XA, or extreme spherical lens elements to control distortion and aberrations. Sony’s Nano AR Coating II eliminates flare and ghosting. A fluorine coating on the front lens element repels oils and water.

Aperture is enabled by 11-blade circular diaphragm that promises smoother, more circular bokeh. Generally, large aperture lenses use larger glass elements, which also means the AF motors need to move all that glass. The 50mm GM uses four XD (Extreme Dynamic) linear motors for higher thrust to enable fast, quiet, accurate AF. The close focus distance of 0.4m or about 15.7 inches, delivers a maximum magnification of 0.17x.

The lens features a physical aperture ring with an ‘A’ position. Significantly, the ring can be declicked with a switch, for smooth rotation, primarily benefiting video users.

A second switch toggles between AF and MF, quite useful to have with a lens of this nature.

Focus is internal. The front lens element does not rotate or move, ensuring a consistent overall lens length during operation. There are two focus hold buttons positioned for easy access in the vertical or horizontal orientation. They can be customised to a variety of settings via the camera menu.

The lens is robustly weathersealed with a gasket at the mount, and seals at the rings and buttons. It features a 72mm filter thread.

Challenges in Travel Photographer

Travel Photography

What are the biggest challenges you have had to overcome as a travel photographer?

TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS FOR CAPTURING PHOTOGRAPHY

First and foremost, I think, as a travel photographer you need to be really fit. Without fitness and energy, you cannot travel and explore the place completely. It is said that the best view comes after the hardest climb. The more altitude you again, the more you will witness the beauty of that place. So, I always try to keep myself as fit as I can.

There are many remote places in the mountains where you cannot go by car or other vehicles. You have to trek there. As the altitude gets higher, one may suffer from breathing problems and high altitude sickness.

Apart from these issues, the weather also stands as a huge constraint. For instance, if you want to capture the peak of mountains at sunrise but the weather turns up to be cloudy, you miss out on the moment. One cannot predict the weather in mountains. So, I think this is one of the biggest constraints faced by a landscape photographer.

Apart from that, there are a lot of restricted areas that people do not get permission to enter. So, in travel photography, there are a lot of difficulties you can face.

Editing For Photography

post-production in photography

I do post-process photographs. I believe that we cannot completely skip this part, especially landscape photography. To make them look more beautiful and lively, I do the post-processing. Though I try to complete most of the process through my D-SLR, as much as possible, I generally use software like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for post-processing
